How does the local HTML parser extract media?
Instagram embeds direct media link data inside the script tag of the page source HTML (JSON state). By pasting the HTML source, you supply the link data locally, allowing our JS script to display it without accessing your session.
Do I need to enter my password or username?
No. iGramDown will never ask for your credentials. You only need to copy the HTML page source from your browser tab where you are already logged in.
Can I resolve posts from private accounts I do not follow?
No. You must follow the account to view their posts and access their HTML page source code. It is impossible to bypass Instagram's authorization wall.
Why does the parser show an error?
Ensure you copied the entire page source (Ctrl+A and Ctrl+C in the View Source window). If you are using mobile, getting the source code can be tricky; try using a desktop browser for best results.
Is my account at risk of getting flagged?
No. Since the parsing is performed client-side on your local machine, it is indistinguishable from you viewing the post on your screen. There is zero risk of account flags.
